It is on a sunny Sunday here in Pretoria that the CAADP Team welcomed delegates to the first in a series of engagements leading up to the CAADP Partnership Platform (PP) meeting.

The PP meeting is set for March 26-27, 2009 - but there are several pre-planning meetings that taking place before that.

Today’s meeting was focused on getting some of the main CAADP implementers to review their work on CAADP - implementation, 10% and 6% targets, partnerships - in the past year and to identify key issues for discussion at the PP. Participants at this pre-planning meeting included the AUC, NEPAD, RECs and the lead pillar institutions.

These partner platform meetings are extremely crucial to the progress of CAADP because this is when all the key advocates of CAADP (at the national and regional levels) get together to do a genuine review of their work on the initiative.

It is going to be busy week, but keep checking on this site for updates on the PP.

Best wishes,
Andrew.
